SUPPORTING YOUR PRACTICE AND CAREER

Professional Education

Local Continuing Education: Our statewide chapters offer monthly or quarterly  meetings offering CE

Regional Continuing  Education: Regional update meetings are scheduled twice yearly, in January and July/ August. There are often update meetings in the fall

Annual Convention: TxSEA holds a three-day yearly convention offering continuing education as well as practice management courses and a Gala celebrating the many volunteers across the state

Webinars: The ability to offer online webinars to our members is a key priority, including free member-only options

Professional Community

Good Morning EA's: A weekly chat session with other EA's every Thursday 9 am to 10 am (except the last Thursday of the month), This chat allows you to meet other EAs to discuss various topics associated with your practice and to gain valuable perspective from others in your field and build a mentor/ mentee relationships.

Local and Regional Meetings: Offer the opportunity to network with other EAs and tax practitioners. Developing professional relationships, asking questions, and find a wealth of ideas and tools to help you

Advocacy and Communication

Advocacy: The TxSEA will continue to work with other professional organizations to protect, promote and provide for the profession in the legislative, regulatory and public policy arenas. We protect an Enrolled Agent’s right to practice and the taxpayers right to representation with the IRS and in the state of Texas. We work closely with other states to influence these areas nationwide.

Communication: Our goal is not to bombard you with email messages but to provide information that is helpful to all our tax professionals. You will receive a weekly email blast announcing future programs. In addition to that announcement, you will receive emails announcing specific programming details and registration opportunities as they become available. We suggest you visit our website www.txsea.org regularly to stay up to date on our educational programing. We will also limit our communications during the tax season (February-April) so you can focus on what’s important, “your practice and clients”

Mentorship Program

The program is in its initial phase and for existing EAs who want to start their own business. We match you with an experienced EA. In addition, the TxSEA seminars in-person and the Good Morning EAs! are good opportunities to learn and meet other EAs.
